Yel K. Banto (they/them)
Yel K. Banto was born in Chile and moved to Switzerland as a child. They are based between Lausanne and Geneva, exploring the intersections between choreography, performance, writing, sound, fine arts and craft. Their approach to art is transdisciplinary and ever-changing.
Drawing on improvisations, personal experiences, dreams, everyday observations, tarot readings, tales and medieval archives, Yel K. Banto likes to create stories and rethink history from other perspectives to encourage audiences to question the dominant norms that shape our daily lives.
